Watch movie: Blood Rider

“I just want to be fast.”

Blood Rider is a short film about a Nigerian motorcycle rider who must quickly transport blood to hospital patients in critical need.  Tense and beautifully shot, the film blends the documentary and narrative formats to create a very intimate and immersive experience of the lives of two strangers, undeniably tied by the story they share in this film. Between whip-fast motorcycle rides and strained hospital rooms, the very real sense of danger chasing at the heels of this story inspires an immediacy to act for the well-being of others. In this way, Blood Rider showcases the impact of collective efforts in communal health – a powerful message for the times we are currently living through.
