Young Kalu is an aggressive striker on Kenya’s Malindi Sharks who dreams of becoming a professional player. Kalu’s life changes dramatically when he gets an offer to play in South Africa on the same day his father is killed in an accident and he is unknowingly exposed to the HIV virus. We follow Kalu’s travails and triumphs on and off the soccer field as he deals with the xenophobia of his new teammates, the effects of HIV, and the consequences of falling in love with Ify, the daughter of his coach. This entertaining educational drama also uses striking CGI animation to illustrate the battle going on inside Kalu’s body as it fights the virus.

In English and Afrikaans with English subtitles.
