The complex political and racial climate of South Africa is beautifully encapsulated in this LGBT drama depicting the tension between liberal bourgeois ideals and working-class realities. Affluent mixed-race lesbian couple Dez and Terri struggle to maintain their own desires and ambitions while reining in the rebellious instincts of their beautiful teenage daughter. As their daughter falls for a girl from a different background, Dez and Terri must also cope with their own hypocrisies and secrets.
