Tax Deductible Friendship
By Jay Moskovitz
“Friendship” is renewed on an annual basis. So, we ask that current Friends please renew your commitment today and encourage others to join Friends of CFAF as we prepare for the 23rd festival. If you renew by December 31, 2012, the contribution is tax deductible from your 2012 taxes.
Annual contributions start at $25 and the sky is the limit! Benefits include the satisfaction that you are helping to sustain the festival and the pride that goes along with belonging to a group of diverse and dedicated people bringing important films to a wider audience. Friends also receive e-mails and e-newsletters throughout the year detailing festival news and related events of interest.
In 2010, we launched the Friends of CFAF to secure financing to help ensure that CFAF can continue to bring this beloved, one-of-a-kind festival to Portland for many years to come. CFAF remains committed to offering the films and festival events free of charge. To make this possible and bring all of the great films and fascinating directors to Portland, CFAF relies on the generous donations of sponsors, festival committee members, volunteers, and audience members.
To sustain your support, or join Friends of CFAF,visit 2015.africanfilmfestival.org/donate and follow the instructions. You can also contribute with a check. Make it payable to the PCC Foundation, noting in the memo “Friends of CFAF,” and send to: PCC Foundation, P.O. Box 19000, Portland, OR 97280. (The PCC Foundation processes donations for CFAF.)
Thank you for being a Friend of CFAF—and for encouraging others who enjoy the festival to become a friend, too!
