After being kidnapped, 14-year-old Hirut shoots and kills her attacker in an act of self-defense, pitting herself and her tenacious lawyer against Ethiopia’s long-standing tradition of marriage by abduction. Based on an extraordinary true story and winner of Audience Awards at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival and the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival.
