Guest Artists

George N. Faux
Is a Portland-based filmmaker and storyteller whose creative journey began in the city’s public libraries, where he taught himself character development, dialogue, and dramatic structure. He wrote and performed his first skit for African Culture Night before moving on to larger stage productions at the Winningstad Theatre. Drawn to the magic of cinema, Faux developed a deep love for storytelling as a tool to uplift, inspire, and provoke reflection. As founder and executive producer of George Faux Films, he brings spiritually grounded visions to life through authentic narratives that honor African cultures and resonate with universal audiences.

Ime Etuk
Is a Nigerian-American filmmaker and founder of Lion Speaks, a production company dedicated to empowering creators of color to tell their own stories. With over two decades in the industry, he has collaborated with Paul Haggis (Crash), the Coen Brothers (The Man Who Wasn’t There), Antoine Fuqua (Training Day), and David Lynch (Twin Peaks). His directorial debut, Hurricane in the Rose Garden (2008), screened at Pan African and Slamdance Film Festivals and later secured distribution.
