Nigerian Prince

Directed by Faraday Okoro

Nigeria, USA
2018,104 min

When Nigerian-American high schooler, Eze, gets into trouble at home, his mom sends him to live with his aunt in Lagos, Nigeria, where she hopes he will connect with his African roots and shape up. Unhappy and resentful about leaving his home and friends in the U.S., Eze struggles to adapt to the hard-knock culture of Lagos. He soon finds himself in more trouble when he befriends his cousin, Pius, who is a professional scammer. The winner of a $1 million prize from AT&T’s Untold Stories competition at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017, Faraday Okoro shot his film on location in Lagos and finished it in under 12 months to premier at Tribeca in 2018.
