This is your chance to get to know the festival, while exploring the newly redesigned Portland Art Museum and the Black Art and Experiences (B.A.E.) Galleries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, February 5, from 12:00\u20137:00pm\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Scheduled Engagement Activities<\/strong><\/h4>\n<div class=\"open-sesame\">\n<h3><strong>Event 1: Short Film Screenings<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>Whitsell Auditorium<br \/>\n<strong>Noon\u20136:30 p.m: <\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Screenings every hour, on the hour<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Screenings<\/em>\u00a0<em>2 short film:\u00a0<\/em>\u201c<em>The Origin of the Devils\u201d<\/em>\u00a0by Director Efra\u00edn Andr\u00e9s Fuentes Serna (Mexico)<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In Oaxaca and Guerrero\u2019s Costa Chica region, Afro-descendants continue to honor the memory and fight for freedom of the Africans enslaved during the colonial era through their Dance of the Devils, their cries; and the use of instruments such as their own bodies, the Charrasca, and the Tigrera.
