We can’t wait to celebrate our 32nd year of showing \u201cAfrica through African lenses\u201d with a curated collection of 30 films by African Directors from over 18 nations, live interviews with filmmakers, community conversations, and more!<\/p>\n
This year we will come back together in person while maintaining our connections over distance virtually. We will have four in-person events held at the Hollywood and Clinton Street Theaters. All films (with one exception) will also be available to watch online. As we have all learned, circumstances can shift rapidly so we encourage you to continue to check our website for any updates regarding the in-person events and also to familiarize yourself with the safety protocols.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n This year\u2019s festival will focus on the theme of Diaspora celebrating folks of African descent living around the world as well as the U.S. Our opening night film \u201cDiatribe\u201d is a concert documentary featuring the evolutionary lineage between African dance traditions and the dance styles from today’s youth.
