Femi is a British boy of Nigerian descent who, after a happy childhood in rural Lincolnshire with his white foster mother, moves to inner London to live with his Nigerian mother. Struggling with the unfamiliar culture and values of his new environment, teenage Femi must figure out which path to adulthood he wants to take. He must also come to terms with his complex identity as Black, Nigerian, and British.
