He&#8217;s popular for wining Best Director for <em>Sitanda<\/em> at the 3rd Africa Movie Academy Awards, which received nine nominations and won five awards at the event back in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Izu has always shown his great talent in his career, coming back in 2016 with the movie\u00a0&#8217;76.\u00a0The movie received many nominations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Izu will be present Opening Night of the Cascade Festival of African Films, Friday, February 2, for the 6:00 and 9:00 pm screenings of the film, <a href=\"\/2018\/festival\/films\/76\/\"><em>&#8217;76<\/em><\/a><\/strong><strong>, Hollywood Theatre, 4122 NE Sandy Blvd.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"il\">Bassem Youssef<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/2018.africanfilmfestival.org\/get-involved\/press\/bassem-youssef\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3893\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-3893 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/2018.africanfilmfestival.org\/files\/2018\/01\/bassem-youssef-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bassem Youssef is an Egyptian comedian, writer, producer, physician, media critic, and television host, who hosted El-Bernameg (The Show), a satirical news program, from 2011 to 2014. The press has compared Youssef with American comedian Jon Stewart, whose satire program <em>The Daily Show<\/em> inspired Youssef to begin his career.
