Washington by providing a culturally supportive and nurturing environment that builds the capacity of the community to help itself and allows other members of the community to reach their highest potential through support, guidance and educational opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>GAMBIA HELP <\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gambiahelp.org\">www.gambiahelp.org<\/a><br \/>\nGambia Health Education Liaison Project<\/p>\n<p><strong>HARAMBEE CENTER<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.harambeecentre.org\">www.harambeecentre.org<\/a><br \/>\nConnecting with the people and cultures of Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOMOWO AFRICAN ARTS &amp; CULTURE<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.homowo.org\">www.homowo.org<\/a><br \/>\nHomowo African Arts &amp; Cultures, based in the Pacific Northwest, provides the world with a non-profit organization which offers authentic experiences with the music and dance of Ghana, West Africa. We create cultural awareness and understanding through our educational offerings and performing groups that tour the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KO-FALEN CULTURAL CENTER<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ko-falen.org\">www.ko-falen.org<\/a><br \/>\nKo-Falen Cultural Center, located in Portland, Oregon, and Bamako, Mali, is the inspiration of Baba Wagu\u00e9 Diakit\u00e9, a Malian artist and writer now living in Portland. It has been his dream to share the culture of his home country with the people of his adopted home. Ko-Falen Cultural Center seeks to promote cultural, artistic and educational exchanges between the people of the United States and Mali through art workshops, dance, music and ceremony. We believe that a greater understanding and respect between people can be reached through these personal exchanges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LANYI FAN<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lanyifan.org\">www.lanyifan.org<\/a><br \/>\nLanyi Fan is a group of Guinea enthusiasts with the mission of cultivating healthy artists, strong communities and ecosystems; innovating vibrant cultural education programs between the U.S. and Guinea; and nurturing lasting, heart-connected relationships through dance, music, and language.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE RAY OF HOPE FOUNDATION<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rayofhopeinternational.org\">www.rayofhopeinternational.org<\/a><br \/>\nPromoting health, healing, enterprise and education in Kenya<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATOTO WA DUNIA\u00a0(Children of the World)<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wwdhome.org\">www.wwdhome.org<\/a><br \/>\nWatoto wa Dunia, based in Portland, Oregon, and Nairobi, Kenya, is a grassroots organization that works with volunteers in local communities to find sustainable solutions to problems facing impoverished children and communities.
