PARIS OR NOTHING

Directed by Joséphine Ndagnou

Cameroon, France, 2007, 115 min.

We are thrilled to have Joséphine Ndagnou at the 20th anniversary of CFAF to celebrate Women Filmmakers Week. Besides directing, producing, and writing the screenplay for Paris or Nothing, Ms. Ndagnou also plays the role of Suzy. Suzy will do anything to leave her native Cameroon for Paris, but when she finally achieves her wish, it is only to learn that Paris is not the paradise she dreamed it would be. The film is a powerful portrait of a young woman whose hopes, false though they proved to be, represent similar dreams harbored by many people across the world today. In French with English subtitles.
